Van Sign Writing Leeds
Wrapping your van is a great way to promote & advertise your business. Given that your van is seen by thousands of people on a daily basis, it is the prime location to brand your business.
Introduction to: Van Sign Writing
You can wrap your van in various ways such as a part van sign writing or full van sign writing depending on what your goals and budgets are.
Part Van Sign Writing: Often we find people wanting to wrap only the rear section of their van in either cut graphics – often known as van sign writing. Or a printed vinyl wrap. Either of these methods work great for promotion the back of the van is the most viewed while driving around. However logo’s are still placed on the bonnet/ front doors to bring the design together.
Full Van Sign Writing: If you want to make a statement, there is no better way than to conduct a full van sign writing. You can either do this by using a self-coloured vinyl with cut graphics on top or go the extra mile and have an all printed van sign writing. Both these methods work well to catch the eye of the public but we do often see better resulted with printed, just as it is bespoke to that specific client.

1 | Design
Our experienced in-house design team will arrange a meeting with yourself to gain information on the type of van(s) you have. We will then discuss what you are wanting to achieve bearing in mind your budget. We will then create a Photoshop visual showing what your van could potentially look like. Once the design is finalised, it is then sent to our production team.
2 | Production
Our in-house production team will take your final design and begin to print/ cut the vinyl utilising our state of the art equipment. With industry leading print quality thanks to our Epson SureColor SC-280600, you can have the confidence that you will receive the most crisp print to date.
3 | Application
Our vehicle wrapping team will then prep your van, giving it a wash removing any dirt or debris to allow for easy application. The vinyl is lined up using laser alignment to ensure all text/ graphics are straight. Once we are happy everything has lined up and is correct to the visual, the team begin to apply the vinyl to the van.
4 | Final Touches
The van is then checked round to ensure the design is correct to the visual / fitting quality is up to standard. If any issues do arise, we will re-print and amend as necessary. Once our workshop manager is happy, it is polished and taken our ready for collection.

Therefore, the LW Graphics team have the knowledge on how to best design & apply graphics to your van.
Which companies brand their van?
Some of the biggest brands in the UK use their vans as a prime location for marketing and promotion. The likes of Sky, Yorkshire Water, Tesco, Porsche etc. This goes to demonstrate how affective van branding is.
Added benefits of wrapping your van?
The appealing aspect of vinyl wrapping your van is that it can be easily removed without damage to your paint. Perfect for those who are leasing the van. The vinyl in fact protects your paint from stone chips and scratches to a certain level. We offer vinyl with different lifespan properties such as 5 year vinyl or removable vinyl. This gives you the option to have a long lasting wrap or if you are running a promotion for a short period of time, a temporary vinyl may be the right choice for you.
What type of vinyl do we use?
We only chose to use the best vinyl from the leading manufactures in the industry. Brands such as 3M, Avery Dennison, Arlon and Vion. This will give you confidence that the wrap applied will be durable throughout the year irrespective of harsh weather conditions. Typically each manufacture has a vinyl life expectancy of 3 to 5 years however, with newer vinyl such as the 3M 2080 series, it increases to 7 years.
What are the key elements of effective van sign writing?
Clarity is key when sign writing your van. With it being a moving object, your message needs to come across quickly with a bold and concise message. Our in-house design team can help you achieve this result by working with you through the design phase. Creating a Photoshop visual on how your van could look onscreen therefore testing if it is clear and effective prior to committing to the wrap. On the other hand, when your van is parked up, you want it to have a little more information than just logos to give people an insight into what you do. A slogan is an option or if you were to have a printed wrap, an image of your product or service. In addition to this, recognisable social media icons placed around the van is a great way to get the public searching for you. Finally an up to date website URL for those whom are interested in your product or service and want to know more.
Is van branding a cost effective advertising exercise?
To have an idea of cost per mile, if you was to travel on average 12,000 miles per year over a duration of 5 years, with a full wrap costing an estimated £1,440 inc. VAT – this would equate to 0.024p per mile. When you consider the coverage you are getting when driving through a city centre, this really is good value for money.
